Regardless of the type of accommodation you are looking for, there is definitely a place to stay on the Isle of Skye for you! Lodging presenter here generally offer one or more of the following locations: coastal, lochside, rural, village and waterfront.
VisitScotland, formerly known as the Scottish Tourist Board, takes the time to visit each and every one of the these properties, and using their strict evaluation system, assign a rating. Despite there being no 5-Star, exceptional, rated hotels currently, there are many great places to stay. Properties that are deemed Acceptable are given the 1-Star rating. Good hotels merit the 2-Stars. 3-Stars are assigned to those which are Very Good. 4-Stars are reserved for only those which are considered Excellent.
